La colección “Geo/metrías II” es la evolución del concepto “expansión de la expresión fotográfica” plasmado en las 22 obras iniciales del año 2017.
En estas obras encontrará que las tomas fotográficas se han condensado para convertirse en la parte medular de una nueva imagen más compleja y abstracta. Ampliada más allá de sus viejos límites, desvela la relación con el entorno imaginario, el paisaje latente, aquel que no se captó en el instante, pero aún la persigue como un alma invisible. Es una evolución que se expresa a través del color que emerge de la imagen, pero a la vez se independiza en formas simples que al traslucirse se complementan nuevamente en una imagen más compleja que el color en sí mismo. Las tenues figuras geométricas se vuelven materia en luz y color y a pesar de ser nítidas y definidas por separado, dan la sensación de difusas o desenfocadas en el conjunto. Utilicé los colores planos para que los degradados se formaran de manera ilusoria y los combiné de manera que resultaran naturales, a veces buscando la fusión de los suplementarios, otras contrastando con complementarios.
La unión de la fotografía y los colores emergentes constituye un nuevo paisaje del tradicional Uruguay, de unidades cromáticas que podrían ser cubistas y expresiones compositivas que coquetean con el Constructivismo.

The “Geo/metrics II” collection is the evolution of the “expansion of photographic expression” concept that was first presented in the 22 pieces of “Geo/metrics” in 2017.
In this work you will find that the actual photographs have been condensed to a central figure within a more complex and abstract image. Extended beyond its original limits, it reveals a relationship with an imaginary environment, a latent landscape, that which was not captured in the moment, but still pursues it like an invisible soul. It is an evolution that is expressed through the colors emerging from the image, but at the same time it separates itself into simple shapes which, in their transparency, come together again in an image more complex than the color itself. The faint geometric figures become a study of light and color and, in spite of being clear and definite on their own, give the sensation of being difused and out of focus when combined. I used flat colors so that the gradients would form in an illusory manner and I mixed them in such a way that they would look natural, at times seeking to merge supplementary colors, and in others contrasting with complementary ones.
The union of the photograph with the emerging colors results in a new landscape of the traditional Uruguay, of chromatic units that could be Cubist and composite expressions that flirt with Constructivism.
